Washington Park, Springfield

The National Register of Historic Places recognizes Springfield, Illinois’ Washington Park as a historic site. The park, which is situated at 1400 Williams Boulevard, has walking trails, a carillon, a rose garden, a botanical garden, and duck ponds. Carillon concerts are also held there. In 1900, the park was acquired by the city, and in 1901, work on it started.
