Castell de Bellver

Situated on a hill three kilometres west of Palma’s centre, on the Spanish island of Majorca, lies Bellver Castle, a Gothic-style castle. It is one of the few circular fortresses in Europe, having been constructed in the fourteenth century for King James II of Majorca.
