National Gallery of Australia


With more than 166,000 pieces of art, the National Gallery of Australia (NGA), formerly known as the Australian National Gallery, is both Australia’s national and one of its major art museums. It is a national public art museum that was founded in 1967 by the Australian government and is situated in Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory. It is run by Nick Mitzevich as director as of 2022.
