Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

A nonprofit organization devoted to conservation, research, teaching, and animal care is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre. Situated approximately 11 miles southeast of Girdwood at Milepost 79 of the Seward Highway, at the head of Turnagain Arm and the entrance to Portage Valley, the centre spans approximately 200 acres (81 hectares).
