Des Moines Art Center

The Des Moines Art Centre is a museum featuring a vast array of modern, mixed-media, and painting and sculpture pieces. In 1948, it was founded in Des Moines, Iowa. The Des Moines Association of Fine Arts opened exhibition space at the Public Library of Des Moines in 1916, right downtown on the banks of the Des Moines River, marking the beginning of the Art Centre.
