Eiffel Tower

Situated on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France, the Eiffel Tower is a lattice tower made of wrought iron. It bears the name Gustave Eiffel in honour of the engineer whose business created and constructed the tower between 1887 and 1889. Built to crown the centenary anniversary of the French Revolution, it served as the focal point of the 1889 World’s Fair.
