Hrunalaug hot spring

Hrunalaug is a small, natural hot spring near Flúðir in South Iceland, approximately 1.5 hours from Reykjavík and close to the Golden Circle route. Privately owned since the 1890s, it features three rustic pools—originally used for bathing and laundry—with water temperatures ranging from 32–40°C. The site offers minimal facilities, including a small shelter, and operates year-round with seasonal hours. Visitors are advised to arrive early or during off-peak times to avoid crowds, as the pools accommodate a limited number of bathers.
