Parque Nacional La Tigra

The primary goal of La Tigra National Park, established by Decree No. 976-80, is “The Conservation, Ecologic Preservation and Maintenance of The Hydrologic Potential of this Reserve.” It was the first national park in Honduras. It was founded on January 1st, 1980, and occupies 238 square kilometres. It is located between 1,800 and 2,185 meters above sea level.
