Perge Ancient City

Originally a Lycian village, Perga or Perge later developed into a Greek metropolis in Pamphylia. Located in Antalya Province on Turkey’s southwest Mediterranean coast, it served as the capital of the Roman province of Pamphylia Secunda. Currently, the remains are located 9.3 miles (15 km) east of Antalya.
