Peru Sand Dunes

Huacachina is a town in southwestern Peru that surrounds a tiny oasis with sand dunes. It is located approximately five kilometres from the city of Ica in the Ica District of Ica Province. The oasis first appeared on the reverse of the 50 nuevo sol note in 1991.
