Place Masséna


In Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France, there is a historic square called the Place Masséna. It bears André Masséna’s name. Joseph Vernier created the layout in 1843–1844. The city’s principal square is called Place Masséna. The Pont-Neuf was the sole feasible route between the old town and the new one prior to the Paillon River being buried.
