Rio Frio Cave

A nature reserve called Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve is located in southern central Belize’s Cayo District. It was founded in 1944 with the goal of managing and safeguarding the natural pine forests of Belize. Although the reserve’s limits are not well defined, its estimated area is 430 km2, a large portion of which has been leased.
