The Butchart Gardens

The Butchart Gardens are a collection of floral display gardens situated close to Victoria on Vancouver Island in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada. Every year, more than a million people visit the gardens. The gardens have been recognized as a Canadian National Historic Site. Mr. Butchart gathered ornamental birds from all over the world, keeping peacocks on the front lawn, ducks in the Star Pond, and a parrot inside the home while Mrs. Butchart collected flora.
