Torre de Belém

Belém Tower, officially known as the Tower of Saint Vincent, is a 16th-century fortress in Lisbon that functioned as a port of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers, as well as a ceremonial gateway to the city. The tower represents Portugal’s maritime and imperial might in early modern Europe.
